TELEMEDICINE CONCERNS
Q - What is telemedicine (teledoctoring) exactly?
The use of information technology including the telephone and internet for diagnosing and treating. Telemedicine is adding a new dimension to modern health care. These advances are not only making care more convenient, they are also helping to raise the quality and contain the costs of medical care.

Q - What are some common conditions that can be treated thru teledoctoring?
Sinus Problems, respiratory infection, allergies, urinary tract infection, cold and flu symptoms, asthma, nausea, ear infection, headache, rashes, stomach virus, diabetes and more.

Q - Does the physician review the member's medical history before consultation?
Yes. The patient must provide full medical history to the physician during the first telephone consultation.

DOCTOR CONCERNS
Q - How many doctors are available?
Teladoc maintains enough physicians nationwide to adequately service the membership in each state. Teladoc's promise is to provide immediate access to physicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and maintains a physician panel that continues to expand along with our increasing membership.

Q - How can a face to face doctor appointment be replaced by telephone consultation?
For common or chronic conditions, a telephone or internet consultation can many times replace a doctor office or emergency room visit.

Q - Can I physically go to a doctor face to face?
Yes, however please know that face to face doctor appointments are not part of this program. Seven out of ten face to face doctor appointments are not necessary! While the care was necessary, the time, travel and cost of the visit could be avoided.

COST CONCERNS
Q - Why is there an activation fee?
This goes to the cost of personalizing your membership cards and registering you and your family in all of the different areas of the enormous medical networks so that you may access the savings. It insures that we can keep the monthly cost down as low as possible AND guarantee NO RATE INCREASE FOR LIFETIME. This one-time fee is non-refundable.

Q - Will the cost of membership increase?
Once you join the Formulated Medical Plan, your membership rates will never increase as long as you remain a member.

OTHER CONCERNS
Q - Can I get a prescription?
It is up to the doctor to recommend the best treatment. Please know that our doctors do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by the DEA.

Q - Is my electronic health record kept private?
Health records are kept totally private and we employ robust encryption methods to protect your personal information. Only you determine who can see the information in your record.

Q - Is this program insurance?
No. This is not insurance, nor is it intended to replace insurance. This is a Nationwide Discount Medical Program. An alternative to expensive and wasteful traditional insurance.

Q - Can I use it for my family?
If you purchased a family plan and provided us with each family member's exact name and date of birth. Many times, dependents are minors. A guardian of age 18 must conduct a medical consultation on behalf of an underage dependant.

Q - What if I end up getting coverage thru my work?
Keep in mind, even if you get other Health or Dental coverage, the Formulated Medical Plan can save you money on unnecessary doctor visits, products and services not usually covered by traditional insurance. However, you may cancel any month.
